About the Farm
Background
Stephen and Katherine Austin, a third-generation family, have been farming and raising cattle in Texas for over a century. They are proud to carry on the family tradition of the Texas Ranching lifestyle.
Practices
The ranch raises replacements without antibiotics or added growth hormones, utilizing wooded pastures and open meadows for grazing. Quality genetics, low-stress cattle handling, and a passion for ranching are emphasized. Sustainable methods include cover crops, extensive rotational grazing, eliminating tillage, and integrated pest management. The ranch is certified by the American Grassfed Association, Animal Welfare Approved, and Texas Beef Quality Assurance.
The Rest
The beef is processed at Bluebonnet Meat Company in Trenton, Texas, dry-aged for 14–21 days, and vacuum packaged. Offerings include whole, half, quarters, eighths, and individual cuts and ground beef. Located in Rhome, Texas, it is accessible for the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.
