About the Farm
Background
Aberlin Springs, located on over 140 acres outside of Lebanon, Ohio, is known as Ohio's first agri-community. It pairs with Gather the Good Farm Market to provide a community-supported agriculture program. The community is designed to offer a simpler way of living with custom-built homes connected by country roads and footpaths. The farm market features seasonal organic produce, free-range eggs, and pasture-raised meat.
Practices
The farm focuses on growing and raising food on-site, ensuring that the produce is non-GMO and the eggs are free-range. The community-supported agriculture program runs for 27 weeks from mid-April to October, providing members with a variety of seasonal produce and eggs. The farm emphasizes the importance of farm-to-table living, integrating sustainable practices into everyday life.
The Rest
Members of the CSA receive additional benefits such as discounts on farm-to-table events, special pricing on cooking classes and personal chef services, and invitations to volunteer and participate in educational events. Weekly pickup events feature vendor showcases, cooking demonstrations, and other activities. The on-site market offers meat, eggs, produce, local honey, chef-prepared meals, and other products from local small businesses.
