About the Farm
Background
After nearly two years of searching, the farm was purchased in the fall of 2012. The first season saw success with four CSA members, leading to an expansion to ten full shares in 2014, which quickly sold out. A construction project paused operations in 2015, but the farm resumed in 2016 with ten full shares and local delivery. In 2017, the farm introduced a Farm Store to offer neighbors access to produce without the full commitment of a CSA share.
Practices
The farm raises chickens, turkeys, and pigs for meat, focusing on pasture-raised methods. This approach ensures the animals have access to natural foraging and a more humane living environment, which is reflected in the quality of the meat produced.
The Rest
The farm store operates from May to October, providing a convenient option for locals to purchase fresh produce. Pre-orders for whole pasture-raised broilers are available at $2.50 per pound, with birds weighing between 5 to 6 pounds, ready for pick-up in mid-May.
