About the Farm
Background
Founded in 2010 by George Fisher in Chipley, FL, Arrowhead Beef began as a cooperative of family farms raising lean Parthenais and marbled Wagyu cattle. The roots of the operation trace back to 1976 with Limousin seedstock production, evolving into a business known for its commitment to simple, nutritious, and locally-grown foods. Tony DeBlauw joined in 2013, bringing a consumer's passion for quality meats to the team. Together, George and Tony oversee all aspects of ranch operations, sales, marketing, and distribution.
Practices
Arrowhead Beef adheres to a philosophy called 'Herd Life Harmony,' ensuring cattle are never sent to feedlots or exposed to industrial beef production. The cattle are 100% grass-fed and finished, never given hormones or antibiotics, and humanely harvested. The beef is dry-aged for 21 days, expertly hand-cut, and individually quick-frozen. The farms focus on the production and conservation of forages, including perennial pastures and various forage crops, which are grazed or conserved as hay or round bale silage.
The Rest
Arrowhead Beef operates its own USDA-inspected facility and manages every level of production, from raising to butchering and distributing the meat. They sell their products online and deliver directly to consumers via UPS. The business is one of only two farms in Florida that raise, butcher, and distribute their own meats. Customer reviews highlight the quality and flavor of their beef, with many praising the ease of ordering and the excellence of the meat.
