About the Farm
Background
Established in 1875, the farm has been family-owned and operated for generations. Cory and Missy, the current owners, live on the 2.5-acre property in Fall City with their children. They have restored the historic Baxter Barn, which is now listed on the Washington State Heritage Barn register. The farm is known for its commitment to sustainability and conservation, working closely with King Conservation and King County to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
Practices
The farm employs true conservation methods to restore and maintain the land. They emphasize the importance of both domesticated and native plants and animals, integrating them into their farming practices. The farm is also certified Salmon-Safe, ensuring that their practices do not harm local salmon populations. Proper care for their birds is a priority, focusing on reducing stress and maintaining health through careful management of their environment, feed, and transportation.
The Rest
Visitors can tour the farm to see a variety of animals including miniature donkeys, horses, cows, turkeys, chickens, pheasant, quail, and bunnies. The farm also offers educational programs, private tours, and handmade crafts. The farm store provides a range of products including feed, farm supplies, and fresh eggs. Tours are available by appointment, and the farm hosts events such as Day Old Chicks Friday and pumpkin picking in the fall.
