About the Farm
Background
The original 40-acre farmstead was purchased by William and Starlita Weubbe 45 years ago, initially operating as Weubbe Ranch with Purebred Sheep and Cattle. By 1996, the farm transitioned to tree farming, starting with English Walnuts and later Christmas Trees in 2000. After Bill Weubbe's passing, the family planted over 18,000 trees and opened 'Billy’s Farm Fresh Cut Christmas Trees' in 2003. The farm has grown to include Persimmons, Pomegranates, Pears, and Apples, and has become a local employer, hiring seasonal help and providing a country experience for visitors.
Practices
Certified organic since 2006 with the CCOF, the farm emphasizes sustainable practices in growing Christmas trees and other produce. The farmyard features a 450-year-old Heritage Oak, symbolizing the farm's commitment to preserving natural heritage while providing fresh, organic products.
The Rest
The farm offers a variety of activities including hay rides, petting livestock, and a picnic area. It also hosts special events and features a retail building specializing in artisan crafts. The farm is a member of the California Christmas Tree Association, National Christmas Tree Association, Farm Bureau, and Chambers of Commerce, ensuring it stays updated with the latest farming practices and industry standards.
