About the Farm
Background
Lauren Palmer founded the farm in 2009, starting with organic vegetables and sprouts at local farmers markets. Over the years, the farm has expanded its offerings and now supplies fresh produce to local businesses, wholesalers, and markets around Nashville and the greater region.
Practices
The farm is both GAP and organic certified. They use organic seeds and growing methods to cultivate their crops, ensuring the produce is free from synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. The farm emphasizes education about the land and the importance of the food we eat, fostering a deep connection between the community and the land.
The Rest
The farm hosts 'Farm Fridays' from March to November, welcoming visitors to explore the farm, enjoy local food and beverages, and participate in community activities. They also offer a CSA program that teaches members about seasonality and sustainability, and they sell produce at the Franklin Farmer's Market every Saturday. Additionally, the farm provides a Forest School for children to explore and learn about nature.
