About the Farm
Background
A few years ago, a family transitioned from big city living to a bucolic life in the country, establishing Blueberry Acres Farm near the Missouri-Arkansas border. The farm is known for its dedication to raising heritage breeds and organic produce.
Practices
The farm focuses on small-scale organic farming, raising heritage breeds such as Blue Slate and Naragansett turkeys, Jersey Giants, White Rocks, and Wyandottes chickens, Belted Galloways cows, and Berkshire pigs. All livestock are grass-fed and finished. The only non-heritage animals on the farm are rescue barn cats and a dog.
The Rest
The farm welcomes inquiries and visits from those interested in their operation, emphasizing the importance of heritage breeds and organic produce for family consumption.
