About the Farm
Background
Located east of Fresno on the way to King's Canyon National Park, this small family farm has been raising hair sheep for over 17 years. They currently maintain a small commercial Dorper sheep flock along with some Dorper crossbreds.
Practices
The sheep live in a large pasture where they enjoy a natural existence with supplemental hay that is hormone and soy-free. The farm works with a mobile processor who humanely dispatches and cleans the sheep, ensuring a respectful end to their lives.
The Rest
The processed sheep are delivered to a food pantry where they can be cut and wrapped according to the consumer's preference.
