About the Farm
Background
The ranch began raising commercial cattle in Kern County in 2000 and transitioned to registered Angus cattle in 2004 after relocating to Valley Springs, Calaveras County. In 2009, the owners explored the health benefits of grass-fed beef, which led them to start finishing their own naturally raised, grass-fed steers. The ranch has since moved to a larger property in Mariposa County, California, continuing to provide high-quality beef to their community.
Practices
The ranch raises a small herd of Angus cattle naturally, without the use of antibiotics or hormones. The cattle are grass-fed and grass-finished, ensuring a tender and flavorful product. The commitment to natural raising methods reflects a dedication to both animal welfare and the health benefits of grass-fed beef.
The Rest
In addition to beef, the ranch offers raw dog food made from the organs and trimmings of their grass-fed cattle. They sell beef in small packages, split quarters, halves, whole, and live options. The ranch is located in the oak-covered hills of Mariposa County, within California’s historical gold country.
