Carraig Farm

Located in Ashby, MA, Carraig Farm is the Leclerc homestead, known for its commitment to sustainable and organic farming practices. The farm offers a variety of products including free range poultry, lamb, goat, vegetables, jams, chutneys, and eggs. They also run a yearly summer CSA that provides a diverse array of farm produce and products.

Carraig Farm employs sustainable and organic practices such as rotational grazing, herbal worming, vermiculture, and natural composting. The land is managed under a forest stewardship plan, along with sound agricultural and replanting plans. These methods ensure the health of the soil and the well-being of the animals.

The summer CSA includes a variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and additional products like goats milk soap, free range chicken, and organic whole wheat flour. The farm also offers grass-fed lamb and goat, tanned hides, handspun yarn, angora, wool, and organic honey. Educational workshops on wool spinning, dyeing, and crafting are available. Recipes incorporating the CSA vegetables are provided weekly.
