Celtic Glen Heritage Livestock

Celtic Glen is a local, family farm with pastures in Owen and Greene Counties. The farm is a member of the Livestock Conservancy, emphasizing the conservation of species genetic diversity and historical foodways.

Grounded in regenerative, predator-friendly, wetland sustainable practices, Celtic Glen raises heritage breeds such as Irish Dexter and Scottish Highland cattle, Scottish Soay sheep, Fainting, Pygmy, and Arawapa goats, and various rabbits including Argente, Silver Fox, and American breeds. Their farming philosophy focuses on maintaining biodiversity and ecological balance.

Celtic Glen offers homesteading workshops, farm stays, and soil amendments. They provide opportunities for other homesteaders to learn through workshops on topics like hoof trimming, fecal analysis, and rabbit care. The farm also maintains a waitlist for those interested in raising heritage breeds.
