About the Farm
Background
Located on 60 acres along the Piedra River in southwest Colorado, just a few miles from the Chimney Rock Archaeological site, this farm has a rich history intertwined with the local landscape. Known for growing the finest apples, peaches, and plums in the region, it also produces a variety of organic vegetables.
Practices
Employing organic and biodynamic methods, the farm has 19 acres of certified land dedicated to growing vegetables and fruit. The focus is on nurturing the soil, the body, and the mind, emphasizing the interconnectedness of farming, ecology, and human health.
The Rest
The farm features over three-quarters of a mile of riverfront access, a one-acre island, a pond, and several wooded habitats shared with local wildlife such as bald eagles, lynx, elk, deer, and bears. The motto 'Work hard, Play hard' encapsulates the unique combination of agricultural work and outdoor adventure offered here.
