About the Farm
Background
Circle B Alpacas is known for breeding Suri Alpacas, a breed highly sought after worldwide for its unique fiber qualities. The farm offers raw fiber, rovings, batts, and both hand spun and mill spun yarns.
Practices
The farm focuses on breeding Suri Alpacas, which are sheared once a year without harm. The absence of lanolin in their fiber means no harsh detergents are needed for processing. Alpacas are maintained on grass pasture, good quality grass hay, a small amount of alpaca grain, and free choice minerals. Alpaca manure is used to enrich soil for gardens.
