About the Farm
Background
In 1996, Tom Visser purchased the first part of the farm, and since then, the Visser family has expanded both their family and the farm. Tom, along with his three sons Riaan, Richardt, and Reuben, has been dedicated to tending to their animals' needs and maintaining a natural environment.
Practices
The farm raises all animals naturally on pasture, ensuring they are antibiotic-free. Poultry are rotated regularly to provide a fresh supply of pasture, clean water, and ample space to roam. They focus on raising pasture-raised heritage and giant white turkeys, as well as layer chickens and ducks for eggs.
The Rest
The farm offers fresh turkeys for Thanksgiving and frozen turkeys year-round. Prices for young pasture-raised giant white turkeys are $3.75 per pound, and heritage turkeys are $4.50 per pound. Fresh pasture-raised chicken eggs are available for $4.00 per dozen, and duck eggs are $3.00 per half dozen or $5.00 per dozen.
