About the Farm

Background

Cosmos Farm, located about five miles outside of Carrollton, Georgia, officially started in 2011. Over the years, it has grown steadily, cultivating more than six acres in a diverse array of vegetables primarily for farmers markets in Atlanta, as well as for restaurants and wholesale. The farm also grows cut flowers, herbs, and shiitake mushrooms, and raises bees for honey.

Practices

Committed to sustainable agriculture, Cosmos Farm employs a variety of methods to maintain the health of the land and community. These include using only organic inputs, practicing crop rotation, integrated pest management, and cover cropping. The farm's philosophy centers on sustainable practices to ensure the well-being of the land, the farmers, and the community.

The Rest

Cosmos Farm offers a CSA program with different share sizes available for pick up at Ponce City Farmers Markets. They also seek full-time apprentices to immerse in all aspects of farm production and life, providing an intense learning experience. The farm's produce can be found at various markets and online order pick-up locations, including Farm Burger Buckhead and The Spotted Trotter.
