About the Farm

Background

Founded in early 2014, the farm was born out of a desire to produce high-quality grass-finished beef and organic eggs, driven by dissatisfaction with the quality of California grass-fed meats. The founders, Jerel and his son Jake, both experienced health improvements after switching to a grain-free, pesticide-free, pastured-meat-based diet. The farm has since expanded by renting additional land to meet growing demand.

Practices

The farm adheres to Allan Savory’s 'Holistic Management' principles and follows Joel Salatin’s 'Beyond Organic' model. Animals are raised humanely without added hormones or antibiotics. Pigs and chickens are pastured and fed 100% organic non-GMO feed, while cattle graze on native grasses and planted legumes, supplemented with organic hay during winter. The farm avoids chemical dewormers, vaccines, fly controls, processed salts, or additives, and ensures all hay is certified organic and tested for glyphosate residues. Frequent pasture rotations and a focus on soil health contribute to the overall well-being of the animals.

The Rest

The farm offers beef in various forms, including live animal arrangements and a USDA-inspected, certified grass-fed CSA box available year-round. Pork is available twice a year in live animal arrangements. The farm's name reflects a covenant with family, God, and the community to provide sustainably and ethically raised products. The family homeschools their four children, who are integral to the farm's operations.
