Crane Dance Farm

Named for the sandhill cranes that make the farm their home each spring, Crane Dance Farm is located among the rolling hills, woodlands, and wetlands of Barry County, Michigan. The farm includes endangered heirloom animals in its breeding stock and uses open-pollinated, heirloom grains whenever possible.

Crane Dance Farm operates on a philosophy of working in harmony with the land and animals. They never apply toxic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or chemicals to their land. Animals are nurtured on lush pastures, in portable pens, with fresh air and sunshine, without the use of hormones, systemic biocides, or antibiotics. They grind their own grain for omnivores, using primarily certified organic grains grown by a local farmer. The farm avoids supporting industrial agricultural practices that involve chemical infusion, genetic modification, and inhumane treatment of animals.

Crane Dance Farm also offers products like bone broths, tallow, schmaltz, pure raw honey, and rendered lard from pasture-grown pigs. They participate in local farmers markets and offer on-farm shopping and pick-up options.
