About the Farm
Background
A small family homestead dedicated to producing clean food, known for raising pasture-raised chickens and a few pigs. The farm also raises turkeys seasonally.
Practices
Chickens are raised outside in moveable, bottomless pens, allowing them to eat grass and bugs naturally. Broilers are processed on the farm to reduce animal stress. Laying hens live outside on pasture from six weeks old, enjoying sunshine and fresh air for their entire lives. All chickens are free from antibiotics, hormones, and GMOs. Heritage breed Berkshire pigs are raised outside from birth, free from antibiotics, hormones, animal by-products, and GMOs.
The Rest
The farm processes its own chickens to minimize stress and raises turkeys seasonally. They emphasize the importance of natural living conditions for their animals.
