Crossroads Farm at Grossmann's

The former Grossmann's Farm in the Village of Malverne has been revived as a working farm thanks to Nassau County's acquisition using proceeds from the 2006 Environmental Bond Act and the efforts of the Grossmann's Farm Committee, a group of local residents, nonprofit leaders, and Nassau Land Trust Board members. Since July 2010, experienced organic farmer Bill Walsh, along with volunteers, has been working to rejuvenate the soil and restore the farm's buildings and infrastructure.

The farm employs organic farming methods under the guidance of experienced organic farmer Bill Walsh. Efforts have been focused on rejuvenating the soil and restoring the farm's buildings and infrastructure to support sustainable agriculture.

The farm will serve as a public space featuring educational and social activities, aiming to revive an 'agricultural culture' in southwestern Nassau County.
