About the Farm
Background
In the late 1970s, Peter and Marsha introduced pick-your-own apples and pumpkins, which became a cornerstone of the business, with peach picking added later. In 1991, the farm store opened across the street, evolving over the years to include a salad bar, bakery, delicatessen, ice cream parlor, and a variety of gourmet items. A 10-acre section was preserved in 2004, and the farm is now managed by Jason DeGise and Jim Spollen, long-time employees of the Demarest family.
Practices
The farm has preserved sections of its land to maintain its agricultural heritage, ensuring that a portion of the farm remains dedicated to its original purpose.
The Rest
The farm market offers a range of conveniences and services, including homemade doughnuts, apple cider, and unique gift items, catering to the needs of modern patrons.
