About the Farm
Background
What began as a hobby has blossomed into a boutique local orchard where residents come to buy apples, cider, and honey. The farm started selling honey extracted from their own hives in 2018 and expanded to include an apple cidery in 2020. By 2021, they received approval to produce, bottle, and sell their own wines.
Practices
Apples are tree-ripened and harvested by hand daily. After picking, the apples are cleaned on a state-of-the-art wash line, sorted for defects, and placed into bushels for transport to the apple shed. The farm maintains at least three apple varieties in the shed at all times for customer selection. Honey bees are used for natural pollination, and the farm produces its own 100% honey.
The Rest
The apple harvest season runs from September to November, featuring 16 different apple varieties including Honey Crisp, Granny Smith, Molly Delicious, and McIntosh. The farm offers a self-service experience where customers can mix and match apple varieties in different bag sizes. Additionally, the farm sells honey in 12-ounce containers and cider in half-gallon jugs. The farm also features a tasting room for fruit wines and hard cider on weekends.
