About the Farm

Background

Located in rural southeast Missouri on 155 acres, this company is located 60 miles south of St. Louis. Known for offering pasture raised, grass fed beef shares, they provide customers with the choice of grass finished or grain finished beef. The company has successfully completed the USDA’s three-day grazing course, Management of Intensive Grazing, through the University of Missouri.

Practices

Regenerative grazing is the cornerstone of their farming philosophy, closely managing where and for how long cattle forage to improve soil health, enhance grass regrowth, and produce a nutrient-rich food supply. The cattle are raised without growth hormones, living their entire lives in open pastures where they can roam, graze, and calve freely. Daily interactions with the herd include rotating them to different pastures and checking on their health and body condition. Each cow is treated with care and affection, even being named, to ensure they live a stress-free and nutritious life.

The Rest

Customers can choose from quarter, half, and full cow packages, with options for grass finished or grain finished beef. The company emphasizes the importance of a stress-free environment for better weight gain and milk production, and all beef is processed without artificial flavors, coloring, or chemical preservatives. The ranch also offers locally raised, farm fresh pork.
