About the Farm

Background

Established as part of a 150-acre farm and retreat center in south-central Pennsylvania, the farm serves the DC metro area with a certified organic CSA. It is also home to a Sufi spiritual community and offers retreats, wellness treatments, and personal growth workshops. The farm is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) and the Pennsylvania Farm Vacation Association.

Practices

The farm raises a flock of heritage breed Tunis sheep that graze on pastures, and offers lamb for sale in the fall. The CSA is certified organic, indicating adherence to organic farming practices.

The Rest

Saturday drop points include McConnellsburg and Warfordsburg, PA; Frederick, Silver Spring, and Takoma Park, MD; Chevy Chase, DC; Herndon and Sterling, VA. On Sundays, deliveries are made to Berkeley Springs, West Virginia at the Farmer's Market. The farm also provides rooms for farm vacations and rents out a barn for weddings and family reunions.
