About the Farm
Background
Steve and Kristin Twait purchased the winery in March 2016, bringing their long-time hobby of winemaking to a professional level. The winery, located on the edge of the Paul Bunyan State Forest, has become known for its elegant fruit wines and its annual Art Fair at the Winery event held every August. The winery has garnered recognition, earning multiple medals in various wine competitions.
Practices
The winery produces five to six thousand gallons of wine per year, focusing on small batch production. After fermentation, the wines are aged in large Italian stainless steel tanks for a year or more before bottling. Rhubarb is grown on-site, and additional fruits and berries are sourced from local growers when available, ensuring the freshest ingredients for their wines.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, explore the gallery featuring fine art and crafts by local artisans, and relax in the gardens or on the cobblestone patio. The winery also offers a variety of events and has a strong presence on social media, keeping fans updated on the latest happenings.
