About the Farm

Background

Frank Community Farm was inspired by the desire to create a work environment that celebrates and values the differences of its workers, leveraging each individual's strengths rather than focusing on their weaknesses.

Practices

The farm focuses on regenerative soil practices to grow nutrient-dense food, employing a no-till approach that enhances soil microbiology and organic matter. By minimizing soil disturbance, rotating crop beds, and adding organic compost, the farm eliminates erosion and promotes soil health, which in turn reduces the need for toxic fertilizers and pesticides.

The Rest

The farm's soil health-centered approach supports nearly continuous photosynthesis, capturing and holding carbon while providing plants with the nutrients they need to combat pests.
