Golden Prairie Farm

Located near Sedgwick, Kansas, this family-owned and operated farm has dedicated itself to creating a more sustainable and nutrient-dense food system. Known for its commitment to organic principles, the farm has become a trusted source for local farmers markets, restaurants, and on-farm sales.

Employing permaculture and regenerative farming methods, the farm grows its produce without the use of chemicals. Hogs, meat chickens, and laying hens and ducks are raised on pasture, where they enjoy fresh air, grass, dirt, and bugs, supplemented with local grains and produce waste. This approach ensures that the animals live as nature intended, contributing to the health of the land and the quality of the food produced.

While the farm is private and not open to the public, it does allow for order pick-up during designated times or by appointment. Customers can shop in person or order from the online store and pick up at the Old Town Farm and Art Market. The farm operates on Saturdays from April to October and from November to December 16th.
