About the Farm
Background
Since 1995, Diana and Gary Endicott have been raising natural food and beef cattle using sustainable practices. Within two years, they realized a need for aggregation of other small farm operations and founded Good Natured Family Farms (GNFF), which now includes 150 small farms. GNFF distributes products through Balls Food Stores, the largest regional chain in Kansas City.
Practices
Hormones and sub-therapeutic antibiotics are never used. Meat animals must be fed an all-natural, vegetarian diet and raised with humane methods. Free-range cattle are corn-fed during the last four months of production, 20 to 30 days longer than conventional beef. All chicken is free-range and eggs are hand-gathered. Each dairy farm has on-site USDA-certified processing and bottling facilities.
The Rest
GNFF strives to make healthy products more available to vulnerable populations via the Food Conservancy. Their products can be found in Hen House and Ball's Price Chopper Stores in the Kansas City Metro area.
