About the Farm

Background

Greenleaf Farm operates on a 2-acre plot on the slope of Haleakala in Maui, HI. It functions as a teaching farm, hosting 2-6 WWOOFers (willing workers on organic farms) who contribute, learn, and share their experiences. The farm grows a variety of fruits and vegetables throughout the year, including papayas, cherimoyas, white sapotes, mangos, citrus, avocados, bananas, figs, guavas, yacon, dryland taro, tomatoes, lettuce, kale, collards, swiss chard, broccoli, broccoli rabe, tomatillo, eggplant, and squash. Additionally, fruit trees, vegetable starts, and free-range eggs are available.

Practices

Greenleaf Farm employs permaculture principles, focusing on soil building, vermiculture, and compost building. They use only OMRI certified products and incorporate biodynamic practices as they learn them.

The Rest

Visitors can find Greenleaf Farm's produce at the Wednesday Farmers Market at Po'okela Church in Makawao from 9-1. They also offer CSA boxes for $25, which include a mix of vegetables and fruits, with eggs and value-added products available as add-ons. Special orders can be arranged via email.
