Background
Holterholm Farms has established itself as a producer of high-quality beef, specializing in Jersey and Jersey/Angus crosses. Known for their commitment to pasture-finishing, they have carved out a niche in providing beef that is both flavorful and responsibly raised.
Practices
The cattle are initially fed some grain until they reach 300 pounds, after which they are transitioned to a diet free of grain until slaughter. Kelp is provided as a natural mineral source, and no antibiotics or hormones are used in the raising of the cattle. This method ensures that the beef is not only healthy but also rich in natural flavors.
The Rest
The beef is available in November and December, offered in whole carcasses, halves, split halves, and quarters, catering to a variety of customer needs.
