About the Farm

Background

The Warren family has deep agricultural roots, with Weldon's grandparents raising their own beef, raw milk, hogs, chicken, and eggs, and growing fruits and vegetables. Weldon's health struggles and a stroke in 2001 led the family to radically change their lifestyle and diet, moving to the country and embracing grass-fed beef and other clean foods. By 2005, they were fully immersed in this new way of life, which resulted in significant health improvements for Weldon. The family now shares their journey and commitment to nutritional healing through their farm.

Practices

The farm employs rotational pasture grazing on native Texas grasses, winter annuals, and select introduced grasses, avoiding grain, corn feeding, stress, and the feedlot environment. They use no growth hormones, antibiotics, or pesticides, and finish their animals in natural, low-stress conditions. Their beef is dry-aged for 14–21 days to enhance flavor and vacuum packed for optimal storage. They are certified by the American Grassfed Association and maintain a Green-Forage diet for their animals from birth to finishing.

The Rest

In addition to their beef, they market products from four other Texas producers, including free-range chicken, all-natural pork, organic pastured no-soy chicken eggs, and grass-fed artisan cheese. The farm is committed to providing the healthiest and freshest Texas-raised clean animal proteins. Their religious beliefs as Catholics influence their business practices, prioritizing glorification of God and maintaining low prices to cover costs. They were pioneers in the Texas grass-fed beef movement and continue to promote other grass-fed beef producers.
