About the Farm
Background
Hopestill Farm, located just outside of Boston in Sherborn, Massachusetts, has been farmed by the descendants of Henry Leland since Sherborn’s founding in the mid-1600s. For over three decades, the farm has been managed organically, receiving USDA certification in 2010.
Practices
The farm grows all produce without chemical pesticides or fertilizers, focusing on building healthy soil through the use of compost, cover crops, mulches, and crop rotations. This approach stems from the belief that the healthiest and most delicious food comes from the healthiest soil.
The Rest
Hopestill Farm offers a variety of seasonal produce including salad greens, tomatoes, squash, kale, spinach, lettuce, basil, broccoli, beans, parsley, peppers, zucchini, and garlic. Additionally, the farm provides cut-your-own Christmas trees, featuring white spruce and blue spruce. The farm also runs a CSA program, offering spring salad shares and summer produce shares.
