About the Farm

Background

Ice House Farm was founded by Morgan and Chad Beckwith in 2016 with the aim of producing healthy, delicious goat milk. Initially starting on rented farmland in Addison, Vermont, the farm moved to Goshen in the fall of 2016 to expand their pasture-raised goat herd. The farm is inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape and the changing seasons.

Practices

The farm follows regenerative farming practices that reduce pollution, sequester carbon, and increase biodiversity. They adaptively graze their herd of dairy goats, moving them to new pasture each day. This method not only benefits the goats but also enhances the health of the soil and the surrounding ecosystem. Their approach to farming is deeply connected to the land and the well-being of their animals.

The Rest

Ice House Farm is known for its high-quality raw goat milk and cheese, including chèvre and kefir. They also offer goat merchandise and have a strong commitment to supporting small family farms. Customers appreciate the personal service and the farm's dedication to treating their goats with care, using natural methods like homeopathy.
