About the Farm
Background
The first Christmas trees at the farm were planted in 1986, with the first sales occurring in 1993. Over the years, the farm has expanded to about 50 acres, rotating fields to plan for new harvests every 9 to 10 years. The farm has won more than 70 ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair, including multiple Grand Champion and Reserve Champion awards for their Fraser Fir and Balsam Fir trees.
Practices
The farm rotates its fields to ensure new harvests every 9 to 10 years, depending on the variety of Christmas tree and the desired size. This practice helps maintain soil health and ensures a steady supply of high-quality trees.
The Rest
The farm offers a variety of activities and amenities, including a gift shop with arts and crafts, a large model train layout, freshly made wreaths, swags, garlands, hayrides, and visits from Santa on weekends. They also provide free tree shaking, baling, drilling, and tying. In the spring and fall, they offer ball and burlap landscape trees. The farm is a family affair, with multiple generations involved in its operations, and they take pride in their dedicated employees and the community they have built.
