L & L Jacobsen Farm

Located in Hamilton County, Nebraska, the farm has established itself as a reliable source of high-quality beef and commercial hay. Over the years, it has become known for its dedication to maintaining forage quality and performance, even during dry periods.

The farm employs a blend of cool season grasses and legumes on its pastures and avoids the use of implants, artificial hormones, and antibiotics on its grass-finished animals. Grain, grain by-products, and animal by-products are not part of the diet. Although not certified organic, the farm has refrained from using commercial fertilizers for two years on its grass finishing pasture and does not use herbicides. Additionally, the farm does not grow GMO alfalfa or feed GMOs.

The farm's beef is available year-round and can be purchased by individual cuts, quarters, halves, or whole beef. Special cutting instructions may require up to eight weeks to accommodate. The beef is processed in a USDA inspected plant and vacuum packed for improved shelf life. Customers can purchase the beef through The Nebraska Food Coop, at the Village Pointe Mall Farmers Market in Omaha, NE, or pick it up directly from the farm. Shipping via UPS is also available.
