About the Farm
Background
Lazy Animal Farm is embarking on its inaugural year of production, driven by Farm Owner Hannah Arata's extensive experience on both small and large-scale organic farms over the past eight years. With a focus on growing and cooking produce, the farm aims to serve the local community through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
Practices
The farm is committed to a slow and steady approach, starting with a smaller variety of products and gradually expanding based on community needs and climate demands. The emphasis is on sustainability, happy animals, and fulfilling workdays.
The Rest
Lazy Animal Farm is seeking 30 CSA members for a 12-week summer CSA, offering both half and full shares, as well as an 8-week fall CSA. The farm is also in search of a suitable market to sell its produce. Open to community input, the farm encourages questions and ideas about locally grown food.
