About the Farm
Background
Luke and Emily's dream of growing fields of flavor materialized into Lone Mountain Farms, a small farm in North Idaho. Known for its dedication to reviving ancient grains, the farm has become a local treasure, offering stone-milled flour, decorative grains, and farm-craft beer. Luke, a passionate grain farmer, brewer, and miller, focuses on ancient grains, while Emily, a grower of all things, tends to vegetables, flowers, hops, specialty grains, and hens.
Practices
Lone Mountain Farms is committed to growing rare grains lost to time and milling locally grown single-source grains. They trial over 30 varieties of wheat, barley, spelt, emmer, and others each year, selecting the best performers for future production. Collaboration with Living Heritage Farms ensures sustainable practices and high-quality grains. The farm's prime location for hops and grains allows them to offer beer grown and brewed on-site.
The Rest
The farm also offers floral decor, including bouquets, wreaths, and more, made from their rare grains, hops, and dried flowers. Currently, their products are available only to wholesale customers. Visitors can connect with the farm to join the waitlist for fresh local flour and stay updated on their offerings.
