About the Farm

Background

Mac Farms was established in 2009 by Jen and Andy McAlexander. Since 2011, Mona and Wesley McGee have continued the tradition of providing quality food. The farm is known for its superior produce, serving the local Chef-driven community within the 30-A corridor and Santa Rosa Beach area.

Practices

Employing hydroponic farming methods, Mac Farms grows produce with higher yields over less surface area compared to conventional methods. They avoid the use of pesticides and chemicals, generate very limited waste, and maintain a low carbon footprint. This approach allows them to grow sensibly and sustainably.

The Rest

Mac Farms is deeply integrated into the local community, providing fresh, organic produce to local restaurants, attending local and charity events, and offering field trip opportunities for local schools to educate children about the farm-to-table process. They cherish their place in the beautiful Emerald Coast of Florida, particularly in South Walton along 30A.
