About the Farm
Background
One of the oldest farms in Uxbridge, the land was purchased by Martin Brown in 1836, who built the current farmhouse and started a dairy farm that operated until the early 1950s. The farm was revived in 2002 when the current owners moved in and began gardening, eventually setting up a self-service stand in 2021.
Practices
The farm focuses on growing a variety of vegetables and herbs, utilizing traditional gardening methods to cultivate pumpkins, corn, tomatoes, heirloom pears, okra, sage, and mint. The emphasis is on producing healthy food for the local community.
The Rest
Located in the Blackstone Valley, the farm is part of a vibrant community of gardeners, roadside stands, markets, and farm-to-table businesses. The self-service stand offers a way for neighbors to purchase fresh produce directly from the farm.
