About the Farm

Background

Meadow Maid Foods, LLC is known for producing high-quality grass-fed beef in southeastern Wyoming. The cattle are raised from birth to processing on the same ranch, ensuring a consistent and respectful approach to animal husbandry. The family-run ranch is committed to providing quality food for the local region in Wyoming and Colorado.

Practices

Cattle graze on native and irrigated pastures year-round without feed supplements, except for occasional hay during severe winter storms. Pastures and animals are free from pesticides, herbicides, added growth hormones, and antibiotic applications. Stress is minimized by calving in sync with nature, and animal-handling facilities are based on a low-stress Temple Grandin design. Beef is processed at an owner-operated, custom, USDA-inspected facility, aged for tenderness, and vacuum-packaged to maintain quality.

The Rest

Quality grass-fed beef is available year-round directly from Meadow Maid Foods and at the Food Co-op in Fort Collins, CO. The ranch also delivers and attends markets to bring their natural vegetables and grass-fed beef to the local region, from Northern Colorado to Cheyenne to Torrington. Customers can sign up for newsletters to get news about market dates, specials, beef harvest dates, sales, ranch news, and recipes.
