About the Farm
Background
Located in Clare, Michigan, the farm has transitioned from a small cow/calf operation to a vibrant produce farm. Over the years, it has expanded its offerings to include a CSA program and a network of roadside stands known as Honor Box Produce. The farm has been serving the community for years, with its market opening in May and running through November.
Practices
The farm adheres to USDA Organic guidelines and operates as a chemical-free biodynamic farm. With about 15 acres in production, the farm relies on a dedicated team and a supportive community of nearly 200 CSA members. They also collaborate with local Amish communities to source additional fresh produce, ensuring a diverse and plentiful selection at their market.
The Rest
The farm's CSA program features five pickup locations and offers homemade jams made by Kate and Ashley. CSA members are encouraged to visit the farm and participate in its operations. The farm market offers a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, maple syrup, honey, and more, sourced both from their own fields and local orchards and berry patches.
