About the Farm

Background

The farm has been dedicated to growing almost everything the family eats and extending this bounty to their CSA members. Over the years, they have become known for their commitment to low-tech, homegrown farming methods and their diverse offerings, including vegetables, fruits, cut flowers, peanuts, eggs, shitake mushrooms, and occasional beef.

Practices

The farm employs low-tech, homegrown farming methods, saving a majority of the seeds they plant and avoiding plastics for mulch and coverings. They never use synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Animals are raised with exceptional access to natural forages and without pharmaceuticals, artificial stimulants, or genetically modified feeds. Their wheat varieties include heirloom soft wheat and modern hard wheat, processed using traditional methods like an International 82 combine and a hand crank fanning mill.

The Rest

The farm offers CSA memberships, providing a variety of food groups to members. They also provide home delivery options and have a range of products available at the farm, including dried roselle, winter squash, yacon, turmeric, dried garlic, green onions, and fresh herbs.
