About the Farm
Background
Located by one of the county's 17 covered bridges, this family-based farm has established a reputation for providing high-quality, grassfed beef and lamb. The farm also offers homemade cheesecakes, which are sold to individuals and local restaurants.
Practices
The cattle and sheep are fed a diet of natural grasses, free of hormones, pesticides, steroids, and chemically and genetically altered grains. This approach ensures that the meat is lower in calories and saturated fats, higher in vitamins A and E, and rich in Omega 3 fatty acids. The farm uses a trusted processor where the processing is done on-site under the supervision of a USDA inspector.
The Rest
The farm sells meat in whole, half, or quarter portions, with smaller quantities available at a 10-lb. minimum order. Additionally, the farm produces over 60 flavors of homemade cheesecakes, using fresh ground whole wheat flour and farm fresh eggs, and incorporating homemade toffee, caramel, fudge, brownies, raspberries, and other ingredients.
