About the Farm
Background
Located in the foothills of the Coast Range of Northwest Oregon, this 32-acre family farm has been dedicated to raising grass-fed beef for private customers, including individuals and families. Over the past 18 years, it has garnered a loyal customer base and received significant recognition for its sustainable practices. As of February 2018, the farm is seeking a buyer and will not be offering beef shares for sale this year.
Practices
The farm employs conservation measures such as tree-plantings and rotational grazing to rehabilitate overgrazed land and restore native ecosystems. Its efforts have been acknowledged with awards like the George Ott Landowner of the Year for Yamhill County and recognition for work with the Fender’s Blue Butterfly. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has also profiled the farm for its sustainable food practices.
The Rest
The farm has been a role model for other small farms, receiving considerable recognition for its conservation-friendly practices. Updates and heartfelt thanks to supporters are shared through the farm's blog.
