About the Farm
Background
Since 1974, this award-winning nonprofit farm has been a cornerstone of the community, offering open space and educational opportunities. Known for its certified-organic produce and humane animal husbandry, the farm has grown to include a variety of sales sites and educational programs.
Practices
Certified-organic farming methods are at the heart of the operation, ensuring that all produce, meats, and other products meet rigorous standards. The farm emphasizes humane treatment of animals and sustainable land use, integrating educational programs to teach these principles to visitors of all ages.
The Rest
Open every day from sun up to sundown with no admission fee, the farm offers a range of products including seedlings, produce, flowers, eggs, meats, maple syrup, honey, and woolen yarn. Sales are conducted through a CSA, on-site honor stand, local farmers' markets, and youth-run stands. Public events such as Maple Magic, Spring Spectacular, and Harvest Dinner draw the community together, while educational programs cater to children and adults year-round.
