About the Farm
Background
Located on one of the last remaining farms in West Springfield, the collective is composed of farmers with rich cultural backgrounds in subsistence farming from regions such as the Congo, Burundi, and Bhutan.
Practices
The farmers utilize their traditional farming knowledge to cultivate both familiar New England produce and a variety of ethnic crops, including mchicha (callaloo), bitter melons, and African eggplants.
The Rest
The farmers sell their unique produce at farmers markets and to small local grocery stores and restaurants.
