About the Farm
Background
New Lands Farm is a collective of refugee and immigrant farmers who bring agricultural experience from around the world. The farm operates on historical land rented from Silvermine Farm in Sutton, MA. The farmers, hailing from countries such as the Congo, Burundi, and Bhutan, have rich cultural backgrounds rooted in subsistence farming.
Practices
The collective farmers grow food on small-scale plots using organic methods. Their approach integrates traditional agricultural knowledge with sustainable practices to cultivate a diverse array of crops.
The Rest
In addition to familiar New England produce, the farm offers a variety of ethnic crops.
