About the Farm
Background
The market was started by Jim Paulus in 1991 after he graduated from high school. Initially, he sold potatoes out of the garage with his family's help and at the town square farmers' market. Today, Jim farms approximately 1000 acres and operates the farm market along with his wife, Amy, who joined him in 2001. Jim's parents, Creedin and JoAnn Paulus, also contribute significantly to the farm, with Creedin managing beekeeping and fieldwork, and JoAnn overseeing the bakery.
Practices
The farm emphasizes hands-on learning and community involvement through educational tours and seasonal activities. The family and their loyal staff work together to maintain the farm's operations, ensuring a steady supply of fresh, locally grown produce and other farm products.
The Rest
Paulus Farm Market offers a variety of activities and services, including a farm park with barnyard animals and play areas, a pick-your-own flower field, and seasonal events. The market also features a wide range of fresh produce, baked goods, deli items, home-raised beef, and more. Visitors can enjoy treats from the Cow-Lick ice cream truck and participate in group events, field trips, and summer farm camps.
