About the Farm

Background

Since 1996, this small family farm has been committed to providing high-quality, healthy poultry and meat in a manner that respects God's creation. They are known for their careful and natural treatment of chickens from day one, ensuring a healthy and humane environment for their animals.

Practices

The chickens are fed a specially formulated ration made from non-GMO corn and soybeans with natural supplements, free from genetically modified ingredients, medications, or animal by-products. The pasture is pesticide-free and managed holistically with rotationally grazed cattle. Poultry hoop houses are moved to fresh grass daily to ensure healthy birds and pastures. They have also started raising their own organically grown grain to supplement the chicken feed. On processing day, they maintain their practice of careful handling to provide fresh, tasty chicken or turkey directly from the farm. Additionally, they practice rotational grazing for their beef, which allows for longer rest periods for grass and other forages, promoting bigger root systems, greater nutrient utilization, and improved soil health.

The Rest

Products are sold directly from the farm and in various locations in southeast Missouri, including Springfield and Rolla. The farm emphasizes the importance of knowing where your food comes from and follows regenerative agriculture practices to rebuild organic matter and biodiversity in the soil, resulting in healthier, more nutrient-dense animals.
