    About the Farm

    Background

Pecan Point is a family-owned and operated farm that has chosen to prioritize family, consumer, and environmental safety over commodity production. The family lives in the pecan orchard, working and recreating on the farm and lake.

    Practices

Although not organic growers, the farm is very sensitive to the inputs and treatments used. They produce pecans in-shell, cracked, or farm-shelled, processing the nuts on the farm to order. The farm also raises free-range chickens for eggs and grass-fed cattle for beef.

    The Rest

In addition to farming, the farm has a small commercial kitchen where they produce pecan products like Butter Pecan and Honey Granola, sweetened with honey from their bees, and Maple Nut Granola, sweetened with maple syrup. The oats for their granola are freshly rolled just prior to cooking. The farm also offers a scenic and peaceful setting for recreational family fishing on their 30-acre managed lake.
